ABSTRACT
The pharmacist implication in the development of antiemetic protocols in oncology is discussed. Following a review of literature, algorithms based on emetic potential of antineoplastic drugs have been presented to the oncology staff. Then, after the commercialization of ondansetron, new algorithms have been elaborated and are presented in this article. Considering the good results obtained, the pharmacists' suggestions concerning antiemetics are completely approved and followed by the oncology staff.
